The Project
Russian River Brewing Company, one of the most celebrated craft breweries in the country and home to Pliny the Elder and Pliny the Younger, commissioned Definition Films to produce a documentary short marking their 20th anniversary. The film needed to tell the full arc of the brewery's story, from Vinnie Cilurzo's early days at Blind Pig Brewing in 1994 through two decades of building one of the most respected names in American craft beer.
The Content
We built "Crafting a Legacy" from a combination of archival photography, interviews with Vinnie and Natalie Cilurzo, and broll captured during Pliny the Younger's annual release event. The result is a 20-minute short film that traces Russian River's story from its origins at Blind Pig in 1994 through to the present day.
The Impact
