The Project
Since 2022, Definition Films has partnered with Sonoma County Tourism, the county's destination marketing organization, on an expanding body of work: an annual awards program that has nearly doubled in size, and a seven-film series promoting responsible outdoor recreation across the county's regional parks.
The Content
Stars of Industry Awards. Each year since 2022, we've produced individual profile videos for every Stars of Industry nominee, each combining an interview with supporting b-roll into a polished piece for the awards banquet. The program has grown from 26 nominees in 2022 to 42 in 2026, a dedicated video for every honoree, every year.
Leave No Trace. A seven-film series covering the seven Leave No Trace principles, the national framework for responsible outdoor recreation, each filmed at a different regional park across Sonoma County. We scouted locations to pair each principle with a distinct park, then shot one film per principle over seven production days, delivering seven films in English and seven in Spanish.
The Impact

The Leave No Trace series now lives on Sonoma County's tourism website in both English and Spanish, spotlighting the county's regional parks while promoting responsible outdoor recreation
