The Project

Since 2022, Definition Films has partnered with AARP to authentically capture and tell the stories of their community. Our team handles every aspect of production, from executing AARP’s concept to delivering compelling content that resonates with audiences and highlights the insights, experiences, and voices of the people we’ve captured.

What We Captured

We focused on storytelling that emphasizes resilience, wisdom, and community. Our work includes interviews, scripted segments, and candid moments that bring individuals like Kevin Briggs and Betty Reid Soskin to life. These projects showcase authentic narratives in a visually engaging and respectful manner, ensuring each story’s impact is maximized.

  • 2024 - Jon Eldan: Helping Those Who Were Wrongly Imprisoned. Jon Eldan was awarded the AARP Purpose Prize for his innovative work that supports exonerees nationwide by providing essential identification, healthcare access, mental health treatment, and legal assistance.

  • 2023 - Kevin Briggs: Guardian of the Golden Gate. Kevin Briggs served as a California Highway Patrol officer for over a decade, where his experiences led him to develop training for mental health crises and save hundreds from jumping off of the Golden Gate Bridge.

  • 2022 - Shawn Brokemond: Teacher Turned Adventurer Inspires Others. Shawn Brokemond shares his heartfelt story of overcoming adversity and finding purpose through helping people find their limits.

  • 2022 - Betty Reid Soskin: 100-Year-Old Park Ranger Shares Her WWII History. The impactful leadership and contributions of Betty Reid Soskin, the oldest active National Park Ranger, celebrating her inspiring journey and legacy.

“I hired Definition Films for a two day shoot. From the start I was incredibly impressed with Justin and his team. They were responsive, professional, and energetic. Throughout the process the crew continued to go above and beyond to make sure everything was a success.  The interviews and broll footage they captured were high quality and fit our needs exactly.  Unfortunately due to rain one day they weren't able to capture some of the outdoor establishing shots we needed, but just a week later, unprompted, the team ventured out and got those shots for us anyway.
