LEVI’S GRANFONDO

The Project

Levi's GranFondo, one of the most celebrated mass-participation cycling events in the United States, draws 7,500 riders from all 50 states and six continents to Sonoma County each April. Since 2025, Definition Films has served as the event's on-course production team, embedded across the route on race day to feed a live global broadcast and capture the full scope of the event.

The Content

• Live Drone Coverage. On race day, our drone pilot covers the course in real time, capturing aerial footage that feeds directly into the live YouTube broadcast. We work as a key piece of a larger broadcast production, responsible for all on-course aerial content.

• Still Photography. We cover the full event on the ground, capturing on-course photography for press distribution and athlete use.

• Festival & Sponsor Content. Beyond the race itself, we capture the festival experience at the Windsor Town Green, delivering sponsor content packages alongside the event coverage.

• Race Recap Film. Following each event, we produce a race recap film pulling from our drone footage, ground coverage, and festival content into a single-deliverable edit for Bike Monkey and Levi’s GranFondo marketing use.

The Impact

• Live drone footage reaches a global audience through Levi's GranFondo's YouTube broadcast, one of the largest free live cycling broadcasts in the country

• Still photography gives athletes, press, and sponsors shareable assets from race day

• The recap film extends the event's reach well past race weekend, giving Bike Monkey a marketing asset for the following year's registration campaign
