The Project:
Our short film tells the inspiring story of Read On Sonoma, a dynamic program incorporated into schools that is committed to fostering a love of reading and academic achievement in Sonoma County’s students. Through powerful interviews with key figures behind the initiative, including celebrity chef and philanthropist Guy Fieri, program founder Lawrence Amaturo, educators, superintendents, teachers, and students, we delve into the life-changing impact of this community-driven program.
What We Captured:
The film highlights the extraordinary ways Read On Sonoma motivates students to exceed their reading goals, rewarding them not only with the joy of learning but also with tangible incentives for their hard work. From local schoolrooms to heartfelt personal stories, the film weaves together testimonials and experiences that showcase how the program empowers students to achieve and surpass their reading milestones.
Our goal with this fundraiser film is to inspire further support for Read On Sonoma, bringing awareness to the incredible strides made by students and educators alike, and ensuring that more children in Sonoma County can continue to benefit from this transformative initiative by bringing this program to more schools throughout Sonoma County and beyond.
