REDWOOD EMPIRE FOOD BANK
The Project
In a powerful ongoing collaboration with Redwood Empire Food Bank, we’ve had the honor of bringing their mission to life through annual fundraising films for their Empty Bowls gala. What began in 2025 as a simple idea to show how a single meal travels from farm to table evolved into “The Journey of a Meal”, a deeply moving film capturing a community united by compassion.
Building on that momentum, we partnered again in 2026 to create a new Empty Bowls gala film, “Resilience: The Power of Community”, continuing to elevate the stories behind food insecurity while pushing the emotional and visual impact even further.
The Content
Across both years, our team immersed ourselves in the full ecosystem behind every meal, interviewing local farmers, grocery partners, volunteers, and the team powering Redwood Empire Food Bank’s daily operations. Most importantly, we captured real stories from those directly impacted, bringing authenticity and human connection to the forefront.
In 2026, we refined the storytelling approach with a stronger narrative focus and more intimate, character-driven moments.
In post-production, these voices were woven together with cinematic broll captured across Sonoma County, from sunlit farms to high-volume distribution centers, creating films that feel both grounded and visually elevated.
The Impact
The 2025 film resonated deeply with audiences and was recognized as a Muse Awards 2025 Platinum Winner.
In 2026, the follow-up film played a key role in driving one of the organization’s most successful Empty Bowls galas to date, helping generate significant fundraising support while deepening audience connection to the mission.
Together, these films continue to shine a light on the critical work happening behind the scenes and the real impact of every meal served.
