RIDGE VINEYARDS

The Project

Since 2023, we’ve partnered with Ridge Vineyards to craft compelling films that highlight their rich heritage and vibrant winery culture. In 2025, we had the exciting opportunity to expand our collaboration into a year-long content series, producing both photo and video assets on a quarterly basis. This ongoing project allowed us to deepen our relationship with the Ridge team, capturing authentic moments across the vineyard, cellar, wineries, and tasting rooms. Our goal was to create engaging, genuine content that truly reflects the spirit of Ridge Vineyards and resonates with their audience.

What We Captured

Over the course of the 2025 year-long engagement, we delivered a total of 120 short-form reels, 19 tasting review videos and over 2,000 high-quality photos. Our team focused on capturing the essence of Ridge Vineyards, from the lush vineyards to the bustling winery environments, while highlighting the approachable and passionate personalities behind the brand. The Ridge team’s comfort on camera made it effortless to produce authentic, engaging stories that showcase their expertise, dedication, and the beautiful scenery of their vineyards and tasting spaces.

  • 2025 - Year-Long Series of Photo and Video Content. Delivered video and photo content that captured their vineyards, cellar, and team, strengthening their brand storytelling across social media.

  • 2024 - The Legacy of Lytton Springs – Celebrating 50 Years. Paul Draper first saw the 80-year-old Lytton Springs vineyard in 1972 and produced Ridge’s inaugural vintage from it, and after purchasing the estate in 1991, Ridge is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

  • 2023 - Harvest at Monte Bello. Kyle Theriot, Trester Goetting, and Paul Draper highlight the unique terroir of Monte Bello’s high-elevation vineyards, emphasizing their sustainable, pre-industrial approach that produces balanced, long-aging wines with distinctive minerality.

  • 2023 - Harvest at Lytton Springs. Mauro Maldonado and Shauna Rosenblum highlighting the organic harvest of Zinfandel at Ridge Vineyards’ East Bench, emphasizing their traditional, sustainable methods that produce complex and high-quality wines.

Why It Matters

This partnership has not only enriched Ridge Vineyards’ visual storytelling but has also strengthened their connection with their audience across social media platforms. Authentic content featuring real people and genuine environments helps build trust and loyalty among stakeholders and wine lovers alike. Our ongoing collaboration demonstrates the power of consistent, heartfelt storytelling, bringing the Ridge experience to life and elevating their brand presence in a competitive market.

Ryan Johnson, Director of Marketing - Ridge Vineyards

“I was lucky enough to stumble upon Definition Films when they were hired by Sonoma County Tourism to film a sustainability piece at Ridge Lytton Springs. I have hired them for a few jobs since then, this year, and continue to be very impressed by their work. Simply put, Justin and his team "get it." They bring ideas to the table and I can tell they have a vision for the finished product while we are filming. I can speak for everyone at Ridge in saying that they are a pleasure to work with. They bring a level of excitement and confidence to each job and I can tell they are actually having fun at the job site. I recommend them 100%.”
